EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT TEAM

BETI WARD – CEO

Beti Ward has been a powerful and dynamic force in the air cargo industry for nearly three decades. A recognized expert in the field, Beti has set an example of what can be accomplished through hard work, determination and a measure of calculated risk. Through her enthusiasm and perseverance, Beti has helped open doors for women in a male-dominated field. In 1988 Beti founded American International Cargo with a DC8 freighter, taking on management, sales and operations. After upgrading to B747 freighter and growing the company into profitability she sold it in 1998. In 2000 she founded Pacific Air Cargo which flies five B747F flights per week between Honolulu and Los Angeles with connecting services to all the Hawaiian Islands. In 2008 Beti purchased Aloha Contract Services which today is Hawaii’s premier ground handling company employing nearly 500 people throughout the islands. Beti is a multiple times winner of Woman Business Owner of the Year in Hawaii, she sits on a number of Boards including Pepperdine University and the Pacific Aviation Museum and is a generous supporter of multiple charities and community organizations.

GARY POE – PRESIDENT

Gary Poe was raised and educated in Kansas City, Missouri and worked initially in various fields of the home construction industry. His keen eye for detail, process and cost control served him well when in 2000 he joined Pacific Air Cargo at Los Angeles International Airport, and was appointed Director of Quality Control. Gary returned to Kansas City in 2005 where he indulged his passion for music for the next four years, bringing to the vast Musicians Friend Distribution Center the skills learned while leading his 100-strong team in Los Angeles. In 2009 Gary joined Aloha Contract Services in Honolulu, Hawaii becoming General Manager a year later, and in 2013 was appointed President, leading the 600 staff employed at the four principal airports of Honolulu, Kahului Maui, Lihue and Kona.

JONNALYN KAMANAWA – GENERAL MANAGER

Jonnalyn Kamanawa has more than a decade’s experience in the airline service industry where she excelled in dealing with customers and employees at every level. Jonnalyn began her career with Aloha Airlines in 2004 as a Guest Service Team (GST) member in Kona. Under the new ownership of Aloha Contract Services in 2008 her talents were quickly identified and Jonnalyn was promoted to Guest Services Supervisor. In 2009 she moved to Honolulu assisting with training and human resources before being promoted to Safety Manager for the entire company. Traveling throughout the organization, Jonnalyn quickly learned all aspects of the operation, and in 2010 became Regional Operations Manager before being promoted to her current position of General Manager in early 2014. Jonnalyn is a self-confessed lover of family, music and the many beautiful beaches throughout Hawaii, where she was born and educated.
